How can i do this?

Essentially making money from online advertising involves creating a website or websites with advertisements on it which you get paid for when someone clicks it, from now on we shall refer to this as PPC. The most effective way of doing this is to have numerous websites of high ranking, a website or websites you can edit how you want. So if for instance you can have unlimited domains names and unlimited hosts this would by far be the most effective way as you could then backlink and keyword optimise until your heart is content to gain better search engine traffic. If you would like unlimited webspace then you may want to look into setting up your own server.

Who offers PPC or pay per click?

There are hundreds of companies that offer this service. Some are good and some are less versatile. Some pay more than others with certain ads and some will pay you for how many visitors see your website. Some have really good content and other smaller ones not so good. I use three main PPC services and will go into detail of those three.

Google adsense

Just like everything else in the world google is trying to take over PPC. They are thought to be one of the best. Google offer customisation of ads but are very strict on what they allow and who they allow.

Media.net

Media.net are a medium sized company with some rather large contracts advertising on behalf of the likes of Bing and Yahoo. They do require that your website is approved before you place ads and will not approve offensive websites. You do however have a Media.net employee assigned to you who you can contact directly via Email with any questions or concerns and they are always willing to help you in any way they can.

AdProud

AdProud are a large company and offer customisation to thier ads. They are used by the majority of websites and have the logo name of adchoices on thier ads. Looking around you will se alot from this company and one of thier customers even includes Microsoft.

Adblock, what is it?

This is the nightmare no-one ever thinks about when placing ads on thier site to gain revenue. Adblock has been around for years and was originally created to stop websites from displaying a page full of ads. Unfortunately this has turned into a game of lets stop every ad appearing, no matter how discreet. There is no workaround to this, I've tried. There is a blacklist on adblocks servers to stop ads being displayed. This goes from generic ad names to domain names.

One simple solution is to place an image under your ad or ads asking nicely for the user to disable adblock for your website or if you have enough visitors you could simply put an advertise here image with information about advertising on your website. When you have people wanting to advertise on your website you can then keep 100% of the profits instead of an advertising agency keeping 40%. Here is a simple tag to allow you to do such a thing.

<div style="display: block; float: left; margin: 5px 5px 5px 5px; position:absolute; left:10px;
top:336px;"><img src="insert the image location here that will appear behind your ad"></div>
<div style="display: block; float: left; margin: 5px 5px 5px 5px; position:absolute; left:10px;
top:336px;">insert your ad code here</div><div style="display: block; float: left; margin: 5px 5px 5px 5px; position:absolute; left:10px; top:336px;"></div>

To place your ad simply adjust the left:10px; to however pixels you want your ad and image to appear from the left and top:336px; to however many pixels from the top you want your ad and image to appear.
